Micro Needling

What is it?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive collagen-inducing treatment that improves skin texture, scars, pigmentation, pores, and early signs of ageing. Using a specialised device with fine medical-grade needles, controlled micro-channels are created on the skin’s surface. These micro-injuries trigger the skin’s natural repair process, boosting collagen and elastin production and accelerating cell turnover.

This regeneration softens scars, smooths fine lines, reduces pigmentation, improves firmness, and enhances overall radiance. Microneedling also increases the absorption of active serums, making treatments such as PRP, growth factors, and brightening solutions even more effective.

Uses
  • Acne scars (ice-pick, boxcar, rolling scars)
  • Enlarged pores
  • Fine lines & wrinkles
  • Skin laxity
  • Pigmentation & uneven skin tone
  • Stretch marks
  • Dull, uneven texture
  • Anti-ageing & collagen stimulation
How it Works
  • Microneedling uses a dermapen or dermaroller equipped with sterile, ultra-fine needles. As the device glides over the skin, it creates controlled micro-channels without causing damage to the outer layer. This triggers:
  • Collagen & Elastin Production – the body’s natural healing response leads to firmer, smoother, and thicker skin.
  • Enhanced Product Penetration – active ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, PRP, GFC, and brightening serums penetrate deeper for amplified results.
  • Skin Renewal – micro-injuries stimulate fresh, healthy skin cells to replace damaged ones.
  • This technology is precise, safe for most skin types, and customisable depending on the depth required for scars, pigmentation, or rejuvenation.
What to expect before & after Microneedling?
  • Most patients experience mild redness, warmth, or sensitivity immediately after the procedure — similar to a light sunburn. These effects settle within 24–48 hours. Over the next few days, skin appears smoother, brighter, and more refined, with collagen production improving results over several weeks.
  • Makeup can usually be applied after 24 hours, and normal activities may be resumed immediately, depending on treatment depth.
Important Notes
  • Post-Treatment Care: Avoid heavy exercise, swimming, steam, and direct sun exposure for 48 hours. Use gentle cleansers, soothing moisturiser, and sunscreen regularly.
  • Not Suitable For: Active acne, eczema, psoriasis flare-ups, inflamed skin, infections, or those on certain medications (to be reviewed during consultation).
  • Treatment Course: For best results on scars and ageing, 3–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart are recommended.
  • Consultation: A personalised assessment with the dermatologist ensures safe needle depth selection and optimal treatment pairing (PRP, GFC, serums).
