MNRF (Micro Needling Radio Frequency)
What is it?
Micro Needling Radio Frequency (MNRF) is an advanced skin rejuvenation treatment that combines the collagen-stimulating benefits of microneedling with targeted radiofrequency energy. This dual-action approach tightens, lifts, and resurfaces the skin, making it highly effective for improving acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, open pores, and overall skin texture. By delivering controlled heat deep into the dermis, MNRF promotes collagen remodelling, enhances skin firmness, and accelerates tissue repair—revealing smoother, tighter, and more youthful-looking skin.
Uses of Micro Needling Radio Frequency
- Acne scars (rolling, boxcar, and some ice-pick scars)
- Fine lines & wrinkles
- Early skin laxity
- Enlarged pores
- Uneven texture & rough skin
- Stretch marks
- Mild to moderate sagging
- Dull or ageing skin
How it Works
MNRF uses ultra-fine, insulated microneedles that gently penetrate the skin to deliver precise radiofrequency energy into deeper layers.
This combination triggers:
- Controlled micro-injuries → stimulates natural healing
- Deep collagen production → improves firmness & elasticity
- Tissue tightening → reduces laxity and smoothens scars
- Minimal damage to the surface → safer for Indian skin
The treatment depth, intensity, and RF delivery can be customised based on your concerns, ensuring effective results with lower downtime compared to laser resurfacing.
What to Expect Before & After MNRF
Before:
- Your doctor will assess your skin type, scar patterns, and treatment goals. A numbing cream is applied to ensure comfort.
After:
- Temporary redness, sensitivity, and mild swelling are common and settle within 24–72 hours.
- Over the following weeks, collagen remodelling improves texture, reduces scars, and tightens the skin. Makeup can typically be worn after 24 hours unless advised otherwise.
- For best results, multiple sessions (3–6) are usually recommended based on severity and concerns.
Important Notes
Skin Sensitivity:
Not recommended for individuals with active acne, infections, eczema, or very sensitive/reactive skin.
Post-Treatment Care:
- Avoid sun exposure for 3–5 days
- Use gentle skincare only
- Apply sunscreen daily
- Avoid sauna, steam, and strenuous exercise for 48 hours
- Refrain from exfoliants or retinoids for at least a week
Consultation:
- A doctor’s evaluation is essential to determine needle depth, radiofrequency intensity, and session spacing for safe and optimal results.
